Inspired by Jared Blake blog I'm gonna explain what we should be aware of when purchasing new (and used too) recorders and audio interfaces.
First thing that most of guide-writers forget is sillicone cases for our cool gear and protective films for screens of the gears (if our recorder/audio interface have one).
After we got our new gear that will make us feel better for some time we should take a look on manufacturer manuals about maintenance. It's highly possible that during using our gear we will take it to high humidity place or we damage it when focused on the audio.
